and it's finally done! :iconohyeahplz: My OC Ishihara and his...younger self..(that's EDSA by the tree.)

I think I'll be drawing more of my OCs in the future.

didn't turn out the way I wanted it but I'm glad I got to finish something.

I don't like 13 y/o Ishi here....don't like the way I colored him. Something's wrong.

By the way...you have to know Room-19's story to understand the image = A = but I'm not posting pages in dA yet....anyway, Edsa and Ishi are brothers, that's all I can say.

But something's always wrong, hm?

Do critique or suggest. It shall be appreciated. :iconyeahplz:

They stand next to one another; eyes unmoving from the others gaze. After many hardships from their respective journeys, many different roads traveled and unknown trials and junctions in their lives, they find themselves back in their respective presences. The eldest stands firm in his place and looks down upon one he thought was once dead as the younger returns the gaze with the same thoughts burning within his head. When one thinks of the thought of a long lost sibling, one would normally rejoice and speak to that loved one of days past; experiences they wished were mutually shared and stories that need to desperately be told would spill forth like a breached dam, tales and experiences flowing forth like a great wave upon the ocean's waters. However, this exchange did not occur. For what seemed like an eternity passing, their gazes remained locked and unwavering. Over time, their eyes went from slight confusion to a dream-like gaze. Almost as if they cannot reflect toward one another and speak of anything that has passed in their respective absences. What to say after their paths mysteriously crossed at such a time in each of their lives or if something such as this should even be reflected upon. The sky remains placid and still as night slowly curls over the landscape. A calm breeze moves about the land over the two statuesque beings in their infinite stare down. After another eternity passes, the eldest steps forth. The younger returns the motion and steps forward as well. This gradual movement continues for a few more moments before they are a mere foot from one another. The eldest then outstretches his hand toward the younger and holds its as broadly as his gaze. Almost immediately the younger responds and grabs his hand and stands as firm as he. Suddenly something unexpected happens between the two; they begin to laugh. A chuckle at first, but it soon grows into hearty and joyous laughter. They embrace, still laughing as the night sky almost seems to move about above them enjoying the spectacle below. After a few more moments and without words they move past one another and continue their journeys, ensuring that the bond they share will never break. Clarity, created by *ErU-ErU-ErUuU, presents us with a somber and almost haunting depiction of two individuals once separated, now in one another's presence and their driving emotions behind their meeting.

The design style of the piece feels almost right out of a storybook. The gentle color and shading usage coupled with the varying degrees of design depth make this a very appealing composition in itself. There's an almost warming feeling that flows through the piece quite well, yet is also balanced with a cold feeling of isolation for the two brothers despite being so close from one another. If there's one thing that stands out in this piece immediately, it would have to be the tenseness of the compositional atmosphere. There a very quiet uncertainty that resonates forth and really registers with the viewers. It immerses you in the thoughts of the two subjects in the foreground and you wonder what exactly goes on through their heads. Why do they stare at each other? Are they going to attack? Where did each of them come from? All of these questions add more mystery to the piece and make the viewer want to learn and know more about it to better understand it; a very powerful element of this piece that really works in its overall favor and appeal.

However, while there's quite a bit going into the favor of the piece's composition, there are a few things that could be improved to make it that much better as a whole. For one, you could really work on more of the subtle details in the over design. Show a bit more ruffles in the character's clothes, maybe even a sign of movement from a gentle breeze illustrated by a slight blurring of clothing or hair on either of the characters. You could even illustrate individualized leaves and shapes in the trees to give it a better appearance overall. You could also even crop the image and present a black border behind it to add a more dramatic and cinematic feel to it, further emphasizing the emotional and atmospheric tension that is on display in this piece. A good formula for this piece would be to blend its emotional tension that has been established and balance it with a lusher appearance to the scenery. Just keep on experimenting and practicing.

Clarity pours forth quite a bit of emotion within its design style and presentation and allows the viewer's mind to drift within. However, there still a few bumps on that drift as it appears now. Within this piece, there is so much potential simply waiting just below the surface hoping to move forward and be seen. Nevertheless, it is still a nice image that is worth taking a look at. Nice work, Eru.
